Piedmont Plastic Surgery uses the latest technologies in pain management to control the pain that follows surgery. This helps our patients feel better faster and return to normal activities sooner.
“We now have a great tool to help. The ON-Q Pain pump has been a true blessing for many of the painful operations we do. This pump is like blowing up a balloon, except we fill this balloon with numbing medications. The numbing fluid is slowly pushed through a small tube that we insert next to your breast implant. The implant is bathed in the medication for over TWO DAYS. WOW! The worst of the pain occurs in the first two days, so you get help during the most painful time. We still give you narcotics, but narcotics sometime have side effects like nausea and constipation that are obviously less if you need and use less. Fantastic.” -Dr. Willard
