Our desire is to correct drooping eyelids, wrinkles and under-eye puffiness or bags due to aging and weakened muscles. Blepharoplasty removes excess fat and skin to enhance your facial features.

The procedure typically takes between one and two hours.

Depending on the procedure, you will receive either IV sedation or general anesthesia.

Your procedure can be done on an outpatient basis but you may choose to stay overnight at Comfort Cottage under the care of a nurse.

You may experience some temporary discomfort, tightness of the eyelids, swelling, bruising, temporary dryness or burning in the eyes and sensitivity to light.

There are risks inherent in any surgical procedure, which may include temporary blurred vision, infection, bleeding, swelling and slight asymmetry of the eyes.

You may return to your normal activities within a few weeks. It will take several weeks before all swelling and bruising has subsided.

The results of Blepharoplasty last several years and can be permanent in some cases.
