We are able to increase the size of your breasts with either saline or silicone implants through a breast augmentation procedure. The implant will be inserted through a small incision in the breast into a pocket created by your doctor. We will personally discuss with you the shape and size you desire in order to give you the look you want.

Breast augmentation typically takes an hour.

In many cases, depending on the procedure, you will receive general anesthesia.

Your procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis but you may elect to spend the night at Comfort Cottage with a nurse available to help you.

You may experience temporary swelling, soreness, bruising or change in nipple sensation. Some patients have extra sensitivity for a few weeks following the procedure.

There are risks in all cosmetic procedures. You should be aware of these risks before electing to undergo the surgery. Risks associated with breast augmentation are infection, hematoma or blood clots, failure to heal therefore exposing the implant, painful scar tissue or a permanent change in sensitivity of the nipple and breast tissue.

You will be able to return to a limited physical routine within a few days. Physical contact with the breasts should be avoided for 3 to 4 weeks. Scarring will be visible for several months to a year.

Breast implants are not permanent though they can last a significant period of time. At some point, though, they will need to be replaced or removed. You should discuss this with your doctor at the time of your consultation.
