The GentleYAG^TM is the newest in a family of hair reduction lasers from Candela Corporation. It is unique in the laser industry in that it combines a longer wavelength laser with a patented cooling system, the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD^TM). The longer wavelength laser combined with a 3-millisecond pulse allows it to treat even the smallest of hair diameters. The DCD sprays the upper layers of skin with a fine mist of cryogen prior to each laser pulse. This exclusive cooling technology protects the top layer of skin and increases comfort while enabling the laser energy to reach and treat the hair follicles.
