Brachioplasty (arm lift)

Our goal is to reduce your excess sagging and loose skin in the upper arm due to significant weight loss or loss of elasticity due to age. Brachioplasty, or arm lift, accomplishes this by cutting away and removing the excess skin and tissue then suturing it to create a smooth, tight contour for a more firm, youthful appearance.

The procedure typically takes between 1 ½ and 2 hours.

In many cases, depending on the procedure, you will receive general anesthesia.

Your procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis but you may elect to spend the night at Comfort Cottage with a nurse available to help you.

Side Effects

You may experience some temporary discomfort and swelling. There will be a permanent scar.

All surgical procedures carry some risk which may include infection, bleeding or wider, thicker scarring.

You may return to your normal activities within 2 to 3 weeks.

Duration of Results
