Ultherapy

Ulthera (ultherapy) uses tried and true ultra sound energy. Ultherapy uses sound waves to safely firm, tighten and actually lift skin tissue without discrupting the surface of the skin. Focused ultrasound engergy is delivered non-invasively and selectively into the dermal layer as well as the skin’s deep support structures. Treatment can be done around the eyes, cheeks, lips, and upper neck. Overtime weak collagen is reorganized and strengthened with the growth of new collagen, which tightens and lifts the skin.

Duration

Some patients may benefit from more than one treatment, but most benefit from only one treatment. A non-invasive ultherapy treatment is not intended to produce the same results as an invasive surgical procedure.

Anesthesia

No sedation is required for Ultherapy procedures.

In/Outpatient

You will be treated on an outpatient basis.

Side Effects

There can be discomfort while the energy is being delivered, but it is temporary and a signal that the collagen building process has been initiated. Occasionaly temporary effects can include bruising or welts, which resolve in days, or numbness in a select area, which resolves in weeks. It is not uncommon to experience slight swelling for a few days following the procedure.

Risks

As with any medical procedure, there are possible risks associated with the treatment. There is a remote risk of a burn that may or may not lead to scarring, which will respond to medical care, or temporary nerve injury, which will resolve in a matter of weeks.

Recovery

you may return to normal activities immediately.

Duration of Results

Many observe some immediated tightening that will ultimately result in a natureal lift and toning of the skin, gbut the full effect will build gradually over the course of two to three months. Ultherapy is like putting collagen in the bank, whick is a healthy investment toward your skin’s future.
