PPS NEWS
This newsletter we will cover fat bulges. They can crop up where they are least desired and can sometimes feel impossible to get rid of! There is a lot of information and ads about nonsurgical ways to freeze fat, cook (laser) fat or use radiowaves to reduce it, but sometimes it is still there.
Most of the nonsurgical methods will, at best, give the patient a 20-24% reduction in a pocket of fat. Meaning you can possibly improve it but it will not be gone entirely. Wait times for a result can take up to 3 months after nonsurgical treatment plus a significant investment cost wise. Spend your money wisely and get the result you want. The liposuction option takes only one day and results can begin to be seen in a week although any bruising and swelling will take a bit longer to get better.
Liposuction is a surgical procedure where a small incision is made then the fat is suctioned out of the area(s) you are concerned about. Dr. Willard has done over 300 of these procedures. He can devise a plan that gives the patient a desirable outcome while maintaining patient safety and comfort. With the newer method for the surgery and anesthesia, the procedure can be done with minimal downtime and just days of recovery time.
If you are considering a nonsurgical treatment for fat deposits, you may want to come in, have a consult with Dr. Willard and compare what a customized liposuction procedure can do for you compared to the nonsurgical treatment in cost, result and recovery time.
THE BODY BEAUTIFUL SEMINAR SERIES
Dr. Willard will be giving an informative lecture series on “The Body Beautiful”. The talks will be in three parts. The first one will be on “The Breast” and will be held Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 12 n – 1 pm at Piedmont Plastic Surgery 1011 N. Lindsay Street, High Point, NC 27265. The seminar is free. Lunch will be served. We do ask for registration by either calling the office at 336-886-1667 or email kwillard@plasticsurgerync.com. Dr. Willard will cover topics involving Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Implant exchange, what happens during breast surgery, what procedures are safe to combine, Breast Reduction, and Breast Reconstruction after mastectomies.
The next seminar will be on “Contouring the Body”. Time and Date TBD. This seminar will include information on abdominal surgery, all forms of liposuction, Mommy Makeovers, what to be aware of if considering liposuction after nonsurgical fat reduction(Hint: it’s much more difficult to liposuction an area already treated with CoolSculpting®).
The last seminar in the series will be on “The Face”. Time and Date TBD. This seminar will include topics on facelift, eyelid lift, neck lift, Botox, injectable fillers, laser services for the face and neck, what surgery can improve, how to maintain your surgical result.
